Profile
Agape’s mission is to cultivate personal growth by strengthening the mind, body, and spirit through unique horse-assisted experiences. Founded in 1986, Agape is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) premier accredited center offering equine-assisted services to individuals in need, including clients encountering physical, mental, cognitive and emotional disabilities, as well as other life challenges. Agape provides therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning, summer camps, and mobile visits in a haven where all individuals are accepted and able to experience healing through the wonderment of a horse. As Agape continues to grow, the need for therapeutic riding services in Hancock County has also increased. Match Day funds will enable Agape to better meet the needs of this community and achieve an even greater impact in Hancock County.
- Last year, 164 individuals benefited from one-time equine learning experiences offered at Agape East.
- Agape provided 984 therapeutic riding sessions for 59 individuals at our Hancock County facility.
- Through Agape East’s Discovery Camp program, over 100 youth had an opportunity to interact with horses and experience the great outdoors during the summer, some for the very first time.
